Hands-on projects: high-resolution traffic and signal data collection and analysis, freeway weaving simulation using CTM, and signalized arterial traffic control and simulation.
Deep learning about theories on micro/meso/macro traffic flow theory and control mechanisms of freeway management and signal control; introduction to advanced transportation technologies.
Hands-on project: campus-wide multi-modal traffic simulation using VISSIM covering simulations for auto, freight, transit, cyclists, and pedestrians.
